artist and politicians and a ton of other homework to do...
Obviously, artists and politicians stand at different positions simply because of their goal. The goal of an artist is generally either for him or herself or to broadcast his views. A politician however is forced to think not about himself or a special interest, but instead as an entire people and make decisions on a larger scale. Now, when this actually happens it can seem as if they are on opposite ends of a spectrum, but really the goal of an artist is not the same as a politician. There is overwhelming evidence that Wright is inclined to dislike politicians. Starting from his early life that he could say was a result of slave legislation and segregation to his communist background and extending to when he became an expatriate, Wright obviously implores a dislike for the government and therefore politicians. This contributes to his belief that they are polar opposites of each other more then actual fact. Many artists are not trying to improve life, instead simply to comment on it or bring awareness to it. Artists and politicians stand at opposing poles to approach different means.

My blog was fairly similar to yours Daniel. while I didn't directly state that politicians and artists I merely pointed out the differences in their motivations, which is basically the same thing. However, I wrote more about my personal opinions than Wright's because, in all honesty it was easier to write about what I thought. Go major effort!
