A visual argument can in many ways be a more persuasive from of argument. The cliché quote “a picture is worth a thousand words” is actually quite relevant when you think about it. Pictures are effective because people of all educations can view them and get some sort of understanding out of them, while solely written argument is normally tailored to a certain audience.. Speculation that someone is committing a crime is one thing, but visual evidence of a senator making sexual advances on his secretary is incriminating. Visual arguments are extremely versatile because they can increase the interest through color, perspective, and design. The most interesting portion of the chapter in my opinion was when it talked about visual argument in written pieces. It talked about changing font sizes or capitalization to enhance the argument. This shows how a visual argument can be more persuasive because the visual forms of written argument can help to keep a reader engaged in the argument being made. A strong visual argument has the capability to reach out to a larger number of people in order to make its point, and while it might not be as successful at providing details, it can certainly make a difference in ones argument.
